Austin Monthly has once again recognized Oculus Pathology physicians among Austin’s most trusted specialists, naming three of our pathologists to the 2026 Top Doctors list. The annual list is peer-nominated and independently vetted, celebrating physicians whose clinical expertise stands out across Central Texas.
Dr. Jacqueline J. Haas – Pathology
Dr. Jacqueline Haas specializes in breast, gynecologic, and placental pathology and serves as Director of Gynecologic Pathology Services for multiple St. David’s locations across the Austin area. She has been with Oculus Pathology since 2000 and previously served as president of Oculus Pathology.
She completed her residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and is recognized for her leadership in women’s health diagnostics.
Dr. Craig J. Peterson – Pathology
Dr. Craig Peterson specializes in gastrointestinal pathology and head and neck pathology and has been part of Oculus Pathology since 1996. He serves as secretary of the practice’s Executive Committee and holds medical directorships for several regional laboratories.
Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Peterson trained at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he completed residency and fellowships in surgical pathology and GI/liver pathology. He provides diagnostic services at Round Rock Medical Center.
Dr. Amy Coffey – Pediatric Pathology
Dr. Amy Coffey is a triple board-certified subspecialist in pediatric pathology, hematopathology, and placental pathology, practicing at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin. She joined Oculus Pathology in 2017 and supports some of the region’s most complex pediatric and hematologic cases.
She trained at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in pediatric pathology and hematopathology and completed her residency at Columbia University Medical Center.
